India and Load give Bromhead double

Fri 5th Jun 2009, 20:37

Oscar India held the late run of On The Other Hand to land the Dromahane Chase at Cork.

Paul Carberry 's mount had tracked long-time leader Sorry Al before going on four from home.

He stayed on well down the straight and had half a length to spare from On The Other Hand at the line.

"I don't think we'll get another one like him. He's been a star for us over the years," said trainer Henry de Bromhead.

"We'll keep him to those types of conditions races. Handicaps just seem to be too competitive for him although we could consider the likes of the Midlands National and Galway Plate." Loosen My Load looked a name to follow when taking the bumper in good style.

Nina Carberry sent him on early in the straight and he galloped on strongly to score by four-and-a-half lengths.

"He's been working well at home. He works with the fella that won last Friday and works a bit better," said de Bromhead.

"He's a big raw horse and could be pretty decent. I'll see what (owner) Paul (Shanahan) want to do but we could try and winners bumper."
