Incrimination was a timely winner of the third-last juvenile maiden race of 2021 today, as the Ger Lyons trained filly landed Dundalk's Irishinjuredjockeys.com Maiden on debut, under Champion Jockey Colin Keane.

By Kentucky-based stallion Blame, the filly tracked the leaders and in the end quickened to lead in the closing stages and beat National Gallery by half a length.

Shane Lyons, representing his brother, later said “it's brilliant that she's won at two as when Maurice left her with Ger he said 'she's a two-year-old winner' so it's great that he was justified saying that.”

He added “her work at home suggested that she would win her maiden up here and it's brilliant for Maurice (Regan, Newtown Anner Stud), who bred her and has always liked her.

“She's not the biggest filly in the world and it took her a little bit of time to get here strength-wise.

“We'll see how she progresses now after that and hopefully she'll fill out physically. We'll take it step by step but it's massive that she's got her maiden as she has a very good pedigree.”
