In-foal Eljowzah scored a maiden win at Fairyhouse today for in demand apprentice jockey Leigh Roche and trainer Aidan Howard, winning the La Bucca Restaurants Handicap.

The daughter of Acclamation, unsuccessful in 18 starts prior to today, timed things well today and Howard later explained “she has been scanned in foal recently and will have one more run before going home at the end of the month.”

“She is in foal to Barely A Moment (three times Group 1 winner in Australia and now standing at Coolballyshan House Stud) and her owners are involved in the stallion.

“I have to thank Wille McCreery for the use of his rug for the stalls today as that's how we got from England, because they couldn't get her to load.”
