Sun 10th May 2009, 14:47

The Ger Lyons trained Love Lockdown repaid his aution price of 14,000euro when running out an impressive 4 1/2 lengths winner of the opening maiden at Leopardstown.

Lyons said afterwards: "he is one of two I have by Verglas and both have been gelded as they proved a bit hot. This fellow is very professional and did it easy today, gelding him has been the making of him. I have no definite plans for him, but overall we have a very nice bunch of 2-y-o's and expect most of them to win their maidens."

"Keagan (Latham) is riding well and all round everything is going well with the yard."."
