After easily winning his maiden at Bellewstown early this month, I Have A Dream followed up on his handicap debut in the Dublin Horse Show Handicap over 1m 6f.

Trained by Aidan O’Brien and ridden by his son Joseph, the 3yo son of Galileo was sent off the 100/30 second favourite for this evening's contest. Shelford the 7/4 favourite (5/2 this morning), attempted to make all under Johnny Murtagh for John Oxx but he had no more to offer when headed by the winner under two furlongs from home.

I Have A Dream was then ridden out and kept on strongly inside the final furlong to record a comfortable three and a half length win.

Shelford plugged on for second while the Patrick Prendergast trained Tantalising was a further half a length back in third at 16/1 under Chris Hayes.

Winning rider Joseph O’Brien said afterwards: "They went slow and he was in a good position.

"He seems to be coming to himself now and hopefully he’ll be better than a handicapper but we will have to wait and see."

The O'Brien's were completing a double on the card having took the opening race with Afonso De Sousa
