All Honours galloped on strongly in the closing stages to claim the 2m5f handicap hurdle as the fog descended on Tramore racecourse this afternoon.

Philip Rothwell's charge was settled behind the leaders by Brian O'Connell before taking closer order after the third last flight.

The City Honours gelding was driven into the lead at the second last and kept on well in the closing stages to post a four-and-a-quarter length success over Robbie Kaydee

Court Knee sent off 6/4 favourite, held every chance at the top bend but had to settle for third.

The 14/1 winner had been a faller at Fairyhouse on his most recent start in February having finished runner-up at Thurles the previous month.

Rothwell was absent and winning owner Christopher Morrissey, who hails from Ballylynam in Laois, explained:- “Philip is gone to a stag party in Wales.

“We're very surprised by the win. He's been running on heavy ground during the winter and it's the first time he's got better ground.”

The winner was also wearing cheek-pieces for the first time today.
