After saddling a beaten favourite in the first, The Welsh Wizard (3rd), and another 'bronze medallist' and market-leader in the third, Emmy Lou Denis Hogan fared better in the training and riding role with Troubled Soul (15/8) in the Pig 'N' Whistle Pubs & Restaurants New York Maiden Hurdle at Kilbeggan.
With 5/4 favourite Hes Our Robin faring no better than fifth, the two miler was left for Troubled Soul to defeat Comehere Hi and Bradleys Promise by six lengths and two and a half lengths.
"It's great to get a winner for the Clearys. They've been great supporters of mine from day one and have stuck with me," reflected Hogan.
"They had plenty placed so I'm delighted to get a winner. They are the best owners you could wish to have. They just leave it to me.
"This mare has turned a corner and had a savage run in Killarney. It mightn't have been the strongest race but she did it well off a strong gallop and she could get two-and-a-half."
