Co Cork trainer John Murphy has hit form in recent weeks and recorded his fourth winner this month when his Born To Excel defied top weight to win the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap at Gowran today.

A first Flat winner for jump jockey Adrian Heskin, the son of Exceed And Excel made all for a length and a half win over Denny Crane

Murphy was not present for the win.
