The Irish Flat season gets under way at the Curragh today and the going remains heavy after 1mm of rain in the last 24 hours.

A dry morning is expected followed by light rain in the afternoon with the possibility of approximately 3-5mm of rain according to Met Eireann.

The first of eight races is off at 1.35pm.

Fozzy Stack's Chazzesmee heads the market for the Nua Healthcare Irish Lincolnshire at 4.10pm after a runner-up berth in another valuable handicap over course and distance last July.
