Princess Tamay recorded her first win on turf, adding to a victory on the Polytrack at Dundalk this April, when taking the George Fitzmaurice Handicap in good style at Listowel.
The daughter of Tamayuz tracked the front-running Dixie Highway and Colin Keane sent her to the front well over a furlong out.
The Tom McCourt-trained filly kept on well inside the final furlong to beat Port Merrion by three lengths. Bay Hill was a further neck back in third.
McCourt said, “The cheek pieces seemed to make a difference. She got caught among horses the last day and Colin said she was not that keen to go through.
“I think she will handle easier ground.”
