Haymount made a winning debut at Tipperary for Willie and Patrick Mullins in the two and a half mile bumper.

This one didn't go off favourite though as that tag was bestowed upon Eddie Harty's Joshua Lane who was third in the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival last year.

Haymount (10/3) sat on the shoulder of Gentleman Moore before cruising into the lead with three furlongs to race. Patrick Mullins then gave him a couple of reminders in the home straight and the pair were a few lengths clear approaching the furlong pole.

He kept up to his work to score by six and a half lengths from Lords Park Star (20/1). Joshua Lane (4/9f) never landed a blow in third, another three and a half lengths away.

"He's a real big chasing type of horse, but he likes this ground. I'd imagine we'll try for a winners' bumper and he'll go to hurdles after that as he wants nice ground," Willie Mullins said.

"I want to get him over fences as soon as I can."
