Alan Magee
Hat's off to Moore's gelding
Pass The Hat followed up a win at Tramore on New Year's Day by getting up in the shadow of the post to take the Dubes & Trinity Horse Racing Hype Handicap Hurdle at Naas.
The 6/1 chance dug deep for Barry Cash on the far rail, edging past Black Mac (7/2) in the closing stages to score by three quarters of a length.
Winning trainer Arthur Moore said, “He's a nice horse and is going the right way. He'll probably come back here for a two mile and three furlongs race and will go chasing next season. He's got great heart.”
