Jessica Harrington completed a cross codes double at Roscommon this evening as her Bullock Harbour took the last, the second division of the Roscommon Beginners Chase, with Robbie Power in the saddle.

The winning 8yo son of Second Empire was having just his second start over fences today having finished sixth behind stable mate Clouded Thoughts on his debut over them at Limerick last month.

Sent off the 9/4 second favourite, the Barry Connell owned gelding made virtually all and fended off the challenges of both Oscars Business and Loughnagall when joined by that duo at the second last.

He hit the front again at the last and stayed on well on the run-in to score by a length and three parts at the line.

Oscars Business took second at 10/1 under Philip Enright for Robert Tyner while Loughnahall was a further length and a half back in third under Rob Jones for Adrian Murray at 16/1.

The 11/8 favourite Benash for John Carr and Andrew McNamara, made a bad mistake at the fourth last and that ended his chance as he eventually came home in tenth.

Bullock Harbour was recording his sixth career victory this evening having won two bumpers and three hurdles in the past.

Harrington had earlier scored with Violet Lashes in the third race and with Bullock Harbour she was recording her eighth winner of the 2012/13 National Hunt season.
