Harrington Points the way at Gowran

Sun 21st Jun 2009, 14:42

The Jessica Harrington trained Cabin Point under Andrew Leigh, landed the featured Jack Duggan Memorial Handicap Hurdle at Gowran today.

The son of Desert Story raced in mid-division before eventually making progress to lead approaching the final flight, staying on well for a three parts of length win over Cloone Stream

Afterwards Harrington stated “Cabin Point has to have good ground, not firm, and will jump a fence in time. We'll see what the handicapper does now but she may go to Galway for a handicap hurdle or two miles Flat handicap. I doubt she'll be rated high enough to get into the Galway Hurdle though.”
