We had a second winning debutant in as many races at Limerick when Hand On Heart landed the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden for Fozzy Stack and Chris Hayes.
Aboard the Coolmore owned Mastercraftsman three-year-old, Hayes made a sweeping move around the outer from over two furlongs out.
Some of those on his inner were inconvenienced by that manoeuvre as Hand On Heart edged right, but in the end the victor had two and three parts of a length to spare over Wisdom Mind
"She will come into her own going 1m2f or 1m4f and she should improve," said Stack.
"She is a good size and is very well bred: she is out of a Group 1 winning filly who is a half-sister to Dolphin Street and Saffron Walden.
"I don't know what kind of a race it was but she'll be lining up in plenty of black-type races as she is owned by breeding and sporting men."
The Stewards interviewed K.J. Leonard, rider of Graceless Lady concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that K.J. Leonard was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (a), in that he used his whip in the forehand position in front of the saddle.
Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended K.J. Leonard for 1 raceday.
