Hamley burst through on the rail to land the money in the concluding €150,000 'Northfields' Handicap at the Curragh.
The finale of Champions Weekend was won in style by Peter Fahey's charge as she strode clear close home to win by two-and-a-quarter lengths.
Ben Coen produced his mount to challenge on the inner passing the furlong pole and she soon asserted to win the big pot for her owners, the Stable Friends Syndicate.
The winner returned to great celebrations in the parade ring and Fahey said:-
“It’s a great syndicate and Dermot Dunne from Portarlington set it up with 20 friends. She didn’t cost much and they are getting their rewards.
“Every time she runs she runs a great race. She’s an ideal syndicate horse as she’s rated high enough to get into the good races. I don’t know where the improvement came for the last two races to be honest.
“Today was her best run by far. She’s a lovely filly and has a nice pedigree. She’ll tip away if the ground stays alright and if not she’ll be back again next year. You’d love to get a bit of black type to add a bit of value onto her for breeding.
“Ben is a very good rider and is well worth his 7lb claim.”
