Michael Halford admits he cannot choose between his two runners in the Dundalk Stadium - Light Up Your Night Handicap at the County Louth venue on Friday.
The County Kildare trainer saddles Russian Soul and Vitello in the feature race on the card and both have run creditably there in the past.
While Russian Soul is an eight-year-old veteran of 64 races, with 10 victories, the Godolphin-owned three-year-old filly Vitello has had one win from eight starts.
"They are both good performers and have good records round there. I'm finding it hard to split them," said Halford.
"It's a competitive race and both have been in good form of late.
"I think it's probably whoever has a bit of luck on the day and how the race is set up for them."
Heading the weights for this six-furlong heat is David Evans' Welsh challenger Dougan
The Abergavenny trainer is sending a three-horse raiding party, with Head Space having to concede weight all round in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Handicap and Lilbourne Prince going for the Dundalk Stadium Claiming Race.
Dermot Weld has a 16 per cent success rate at this course and the Rosewell House handler has just the one runner on the card, Ample Sufficiency in the www.dundalkstadium.com Maiden.
The three-year-old colt, who was a close fifth to Port Douglas in the Group Two Beresford Stakes at the Curragh as a juvenile, looks to have a good opportunity to open his account. The son of English Channel has been placed in all his three starts so far this term.
