Trainer Gordon Elliott and jockey Jack Kennedy continued on the winning ways at Punchestown today as Goodthynemilan gained her maiden racecourse win in the Toals.com Play Our Live Casino Beginners Chase.

The eight year old mare had failed to win in 15 racecourse starts since her only point to point win at Killeagh two years ago this month but today gamely fought off runner-up Nicole's Milan to score a length and a half success.

Afterwards Elliott's assistant Ian Amond said “it probably wasn't a great race but Jack said she won it well. You'd imagine off her mark there would be a couple of handicap hurdles in her.

"It was great because Gordon's father is involved in the syndicate as well as some local lads from Summerhill."
