Goldplated at 8/1, recorded her third win of the season as she took the penultimate race on the card, the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap for her trainer John Murphy with Leigh Roche in the saddle.

The 3yo daughter of Selkirk showed nothing on her three maiden starts before putting in another poor performance on her handicap debut at Wexford back in May.

However she stayed on strongly at Tramore on her next start at 33/1, going down by just a length and a half to Kildare Kitten and she followed up on that run with two wins at Limerick and Killarney in June and July.

She then disappointing last time out at the Galway Festival finishing a well beaten sixth behind Lovers Peace but she bounced back to form today.

Having raced in rear for much of the race, she was ridden into fifth over two furlongs out. She responded well to pressure to move into second over a furlong from home, before staying on well in the final furlong to get up by three parts of a length.

The second favourite at 3/1 Louisville Lip looked set for victory entering the straight but couldn’t hold off the winner, while the 5/2 favourite Missy O’Gwaun kept on to take third a further three parts of a length back.
