The going at Downpatrick ahead of Randox Ulster National Handicap Chase Day is now soft.

A dry day is anticipated at the County Down venue where the first of seven races is set to commence at 1.40.

Previous winners of the marathon extended three and a half mile feature, Poormans Hill (2018) and Amaulino (last year), are back to bid for further big race honours.

Meanwhile at Naas ahead of the start of the Flat turf season tomorrow, the ground description is now heavy, soft in places, with a dry weather forecast.
