Willie Mullins sent three horses to Sligo this evening and all three were successful, with Nos Na Gaoithe completing the treble in the concluding Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race.
Earlier on the mark with Attitash and Arctic Warrior Nos Na Gaoithe was widely expected to bring up the three-timer for Mullins, as she was sent off the clear 30/100 favourite.
Settled in mid-division on the outer by Patrick Mullins, the daughter of Yeats took closer order with five furlongs left to race.
Sent to the front over a furlong from home, she was pushed out inside the final furlong, going on to score by two-and-a-quarter lengths in the colours of Syndicates Racing. Diamondinthemud (40/1) ran a fine race to finish second under Johnny Barry for Nigel Slevin, while Belle Na Bann (50/1) was another two-and-a-quarter lengths back in third.
"She wasn't really switched on, she was green going to the start and in the first mile of the race but the further she went the better she got," Patrick Mullins said of the successful debutant.
"The Listed mares' bumper at Gowran in October could be a possible target, unless Willie wants to go jumping with her but she's only four and quite raw, so I'd be suggesting that we stick to bumpers for the moment."
The winner was bred by Killian Traynor and she is a half-sister to Rathvinden. She was bought for E30,000 from Treehouse Stables at the Tattersalls Derby Sale last August.
