Fresh By Nature put in a good display of jumping on her way to victory in the two and a half mile beginners' chase in Kilbeggan.
The eight-year-old mare tracked leader Easter In Paris in fourth place before Mark Bolger gave her a squeeze to move closer on the run to the third last.
Coming to the second last and the mare had got a run up the inner rail to almost be on terms. Straightening up to take the last fence she had hit the front. She was then driven out by Bolger to win by three parts of a length and justify 9/4 favouritism. Twenty Four Years kept on well close home for second at 4/1. Waltz Legend (11/2) was another three quarters of a length away in third.
Trainer Jessica Harrington said: "I think she would have won if she hadn't fallen in Wexford. We were looking to sell her after last year. No-one wanted to buy so we schooled her over fences and she seemed to like it.
"She's in the sales at Doncaster. I'm not sure if she'll go there but whatever happens she'll give lots of fun over the summer and she stays three miles."
Two of the winning Fresh By Nature Syndicate are Ger Mangan and Freddie Keeling and the horse's name gives a clue to their line of business - the fruit and veg trade.
