Fourina stuck her head out close home to land the spoils under Ricky Doyle in the San Miguel Handicap Hurdle at Tramore.

Mark Fahey 's charge fought it out with the Eoin Doyle-trained Cottonvale from before the second last in the two-mile five contest.

There was nothing between the pair jumping the last and Fourina just found a bit more near the line to record a head success.

The 5/1 shot had been third behind easy winner Danse Away on her return to action at Clonmel last month.

"She handles that ground better than most. She had good bumper form against the likes of Summerville Boy,” said Fahey.

“Where we go with her next I don't know. If the ground ever dries up she'll get a break. Ricky gave her a brilliant ride."
