The Willie Mullins trained For The Staff justified favouritism when he landed the Mallow Maiden Hurdle under Ruby Walsh for owner Eamon Duignan.

Winning trainer Mullins said afterwards: “We will probably go for a winners' of one next. He’s improving all of the time and I’d say we could probably go up again in distance. He absolutely loves jumping.”

“I think he will make a lovely chaser in time. We will see what he does in the winners' of one as to whether he’s just a handicapper or something more.”

“He was an ordinary bumper horse and he doesn’t really show us much at home but he just loves jumping and is a different horse over them.”
