After winning the opener on Byron Beauty Chris Hayes quickly doubled his tally aboard She's So Flawless in the Corcorans Furniture & Carpets Maiden.
Having finished third when sent off joint-favourite on her debut at Ballinrobe last month, the Willie Mullins trained bay was available at 16s this morning, drifting from an opening show on-course of 8s, out to a starting price of 11/1.
Settled behind the leaders on the outer, the daughter of Fastnet Rock was ridden to challenge from the two furlong pole.
She had a good battled with front-running stable mate Airlie Beach (11/4 to 9/4 on-course) from over a furlong out, getting on top in the closing stages to score by three parts of a length for owner/breeder Douglas Taylor. Abyssinian ran on well to take second at 6/1 under Seamie Heffernan for Aidan O'Brien, while Airlie Beach was a short head away in third under Declan McDonogh.
Alayka was sent off the 2/1 favourite, but she could only manage a disappointing fourth.
Hayes said afterwards: "She improved a lot from her Ballinrobe run. She jumped and travelled in snatches and while I got there plenty early, she is tough and genuine and is improving."
