Fighter completed yet another dominant afternoon at the Curragh for Ryan Moore and Aidan O’Brien as they rounded off a four-timer in the Join Racing TV For Just €14 Now Maiden.

The son of Frankel was soundly beaten in three previous maiden starts including when reappearing at Limerick in June, but the application of blinkers seemed to galvanise him in this 1m2f event.

The 6/1 chance made most of the running and took control from well over a furlong out to beat Ard Na Mara by four and a quarter lengths. Young Churchill was a further half-a-length back in third.

O’Brien said, “We thought he’d win the last day in Limerick. Obviously he’s a bit fitter now and the blinkers helped him go along.

“He’s probably a bit lazy and he ran to the line today.

“He’ll go for a handicap now.”

O’Brien and Moore also won the two Group 2 races on the card with Henri Matisse and Bedtime Story as well as the opening juvenile maiden with Officer
