All roads lead to Gowran Park this afternoon where Sizing Europe faces a top class field in the €37,500 PWC Champion Chase.
The former Queen Mother Champion Chase winner, reunited with Andrew Lynch who returned here yesterday after over four months on the sidelines with a broken leg, faces seven rivals in the two and a half miles Grade 2 event.
Lynch is looking forward to the mount saying, "Sizing Europe's a good one to get back on. He seemed to be back to his best last year and seems to be in great form this year so, please god, he'll have a good season.
"I schooled him the other morning and rode him work last week. He seems in good form."
Four of the opposition have also scored at the highest level including the Mouse Morris-trained pair China Rock, winner of the Punchestown Gold Cup back in April, and last season's high class novice First Lieutenant
Former Hennessy Gold Cup winner Joncol and Forpadydeplasterer winner of the Arkle Chase back in 2009, are also in the classy line-up.
The going remains good, and the first of a seven race card at the Co. Kilkenny track gets underway at 2.15pm.
Meanwhile Tipperary hosts it's "Super Sunday" fixture tomorrow, with quality action both on the Flat and over jumps.
An eight race card kicks off at 2.00pm, and the going is currently described as heavy on the Flat track and soft to heavy for the National Hunt racing (no overnight rain).
