Schoolboy Error defied top-weight and justified favouritism in division one of the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship 2018 Handicap at Dundalk.
Chris Hayes rode the 4/1 chance for owner Zoe Casbolt and trainer Shane Nolan and he got the half-brother to 2015 Ascot Gold Cup hero, Trip To Paris, across the line with a length to spare over Shake The Bucket
Hayes has now won four on Schoolboy Error, three of which have been over this course and distance (a mile and a half).
Great old veteran Shake The Bucket ran a fine race but he couldn't quite match the victorious son of Roderic O'Connor.
"He loves it around here and is very straight forward. The last day at Naas was his first run back after a bit of a break as he was a bit sore after he ran at the Curragh," said Nolan.
"He got a bit of a bump coming out of the stalls (at Naas) that lit him up and he just ran a bit keen. He came on well from that run and is fresh and well.
"He's in again on Wednesday in Cork so hopefully if he pulls out alright we might run him again."
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Topamichi (GB) trained by Michael J. Browne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran free early on, tired quickly and was eased thereafter.
