Salvador Ziggy (4/7f) made it two from two over fences with a strong performance in the EY Chase at Tramore.

He took a few lengths out of the pursuing Fighter Allen when the latter made a mistake three out in this extended 2m5f assignment.

It was left to Grozni and The Banger Doyle to try and serve it up to Salvador Ziggy, however, the leader was much the strongest after two out and drew 12 lengths clear of The Banger Doyle (15/2).

Gordon Elliott said:"It was a good performance again even though he was getting a few pounds off two of them. Jack (Kennedy, jockey) said the further he went, the better he got. He probably wasn't in love with the track or maybe the ground.

"There is a novice chase for him at Killarney next week and you need three runs to qualify for those good staying handicap chase, so that's why we are keen to run him. He could be a horse for the Kerry National."

Salvador Ziggy made a winning start to life over fences at Punchestown in June. He has won four times over hurdles in addition to a bumper.
