Earls got to grips with pace-setting Glow Worm to win the Tattersalls Ireland Handicap under Dylan Browne McMonagle.
Glow Worm blasted out of the stalls to take charge of this six-furlong race. Earls was settled towards the rear of the six runners as Glow Worm and Luke McAteer dictated throughout.
Earls made headway a furlong and a half out and was ridden to collar the tiring leader inside the furlong pole.
The 15/8 second favourite kept on best to beat the 13/8 favourite by two and a half lengths. Seven Worlds was backed at big prices but finished out of the places in third.
Trainer Eddie Lynam said: “It was a nice little contest to find for him and to win two with him isn’t too bad.
“He normally likes to make the running but there was loads of pace so he couldn’t. He pulled up a bit in front but it was a funny race and he was out on his own. There was a fair wind as well.
“He’s in again on Thursday over five furlongs at Navan so we’ll see how he is in the morning. I think he’ll handle Dundalk as well.”
This was Earls' second career success having delivered at Sligo in August. Runner-up Glow Worm has now been placed in 12 of her 21 races.
