Having finished third on his first three starts over fences Dromnea got a deserved win to his name as he took the Sporting Limerick Day Beginners Chase under Mark Enright for Mouse Morris.

The son of Presenting was sent off a 10/3 chance and he improved to dispute the lead from six out.

He hit the front approaching the straight and was ridden to assert before the second last, keeping on well from there to score by two and a half lengths. Upsie was sent off the 5/4 favourite (from 7/4) but she couldn't match the winner and to settle for second under Mark Walsh for Willie Mullins while the front-running Benrouge (11/1) was twenty-two lengths back in third under Phillip Enright for James Dullea.

Mark Enright said afterwards: "Mouse told me to make plenty use of his jumping and chasing is his game. He didn't mind the ground and was very good today."
