The Pat Carey trained Code Dancer (33/1) finished six and a half lengths back in third under Robbie Moran while Robertstown Rover (20/1) completed the placings fifteen lengths back in fourth under Mark Enright for Kevin McDonagh.
The other 7/2 joint favourite was Lascalahall for Fran Flood and Mark Walsh but he could only manage a disappointing sixth while the friendless in the betting Clashnabrook (9/4 favourite this morning out to 4/1 at the off) was a well beaten fifth under Phillip Enright for Eoghan O'Grady.
