Sweet Dime followed-up on her recent course and distance success, as she took the last at Dundalk this evening, the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Stadium Handicap.
A surprise 33/1 winner at the venue on October 11th, the Jessica Harrington trained three-year-old went off at just 6/1 (from 7s) this evening.
Settled behind the leaders by Tom Madden, the daughter of Toronado raced mainly in fifth and was ridden to challenge on the outer from the two furlong pole.
Soon in front, she kept up the gallop inside the final furlong, going on to prevail by a neck. Nimitz who was returned the 6/4 favourite, tried but ultimately couldn't reel in the winner and had to settle for second under Declan McDonogh for Charles O'Brien. One In All In (25/1) finished a further length back in third, with Killian Leonard aboard this one for Gearoid O'Loughlin.
"That was good and she's an improving filly. That's two she's won over the trip up here now," said Madden.
"She's done well. She obviously likes it here and likes that trip. She was obviously up in grade as well but she's still improving the whole time.
"I picked the wrong one the last time (partnered stable mate Building Bridges) but sure that's how it goes. Hopefully Jessie keeps her for the winter and she might keep me on board! I know Shane is going to be here as well so we'll see what happens.
"It's been a great year for Jessie and she's been great to me. I can't thank her and the team enough, it's worked out so well.
"I had a good winter last winter so hopefully Jessie still has a few more to run and I had a few with Ado McGuinness then as well."
