Emily Dickinson powered clear in the closing stages to run out an impressive winner of the Comer Group International Loughbrown Stakes at the Curragh this afternoon.
The Aidan O'Brien-trained filly, sixth behind Emily Upjohn at Ascot on her previous outing, went to post a 5/2 shot on her first try at two miles in the Group 3 contest.
Seamie Heffernan held his mount up in the early stages before making ground turning for home.
The daughter of Dubawi, and Irish Oaks winner Chicquita, hit the front a furlong from home and soon settled matters as she galloped on strongly to post a five-and-a-half win over Baron Samedi
“She obviously gets the trip very well and handles the ground,” said O'Brien.
“She ran a serious race the last day when she came home very strong.
“We'll see what the lads want to do but there is a chance she could stay in training next year.
“She has a lot of class going that trip and could be a serious Cup filly, she could be a very serious four-year-old stepping up in distance.
“Seamus gave her a lovely ride and was very patient with her."
