The four-year-old fillies' bumper in Limerick was run at a sedate pace and it was Derinlaur Bill (5/1) who saw it out best when it boiled down to a sprint.

Jamie Codd sent her to the front coming to the final furlong with Tom Hamilton and Birthday Bayeb making a similar move to join them on the outside.

The two protagonists soon poached a few lengths on the field inside the final furlong, and it was Derrinlaur Bill who proved the stronger in the closing stages.

She won by a length and a half from 13/8 favourite Negroni who put in a storming finish to get up for second without threatening the winner.

Birthday Bayeb (12/1) had to settle for third a further half a length down.

Trainer Harry Kelly said: "She is owned by a great friend of mine, Conor Hewitt, and I'm delighted for him. He has put plenty business our way and he picked this one out at the right money as a foal and she is very well related.

"She is for sale and Jamie rode her work two weeks ago and liked her a lot.

"She was primed to go point-to-pointing but ended up here, and we think she could be a proper filly and Jamie thinks an awful lot of her.

"We have 10 horses to run for the summer and it's great to be back with a winner."
