Define Scores Again

Thu 31st Jul 2008, 15:57

Backing horses by Definite Article at Galway has proved to be a profitable ploy as Define became his third son to score at this year's Festival, following on from Majestic Concorde and Tasman when battling to a short head success in the St James's Gate Novice Hurdle.

The 10/1 shot under Denis O'Regan, just got the better of No Panic This was a real Rebel County victory as Youghal native O'Regan was teaming up with Cloyne trainer, James Motherway, who handles Define for his Father, Davy.

Define was bred by Mrs Kevin Prendergast and he won on the flat for that yard before being sold to his current connections for E16,000 at Goffs Autumn Sales in 2006. He has now won three for the Motherways and James said, "that is his third win now for us, all in two and a half mile hurdles. The rain arrived just in time for him and Denis gets on well with him as he has to be dropped in. The idea now would be to go to Listowel."
