As might have been envisaged the diminutive Dandy Mag enjoyed zipping around Ballinrobe and he ran out a decisive winner of the Sheridan Electric Hurdle at odds of 2/5.
Having been to Cheltenham, Fairyhouse and Punchestown this represented a much less demanding task for the French-bred and Ruby Walsh kept it simple from the front.
The Willie Mullins-trained Dandy Mag took a chance at the second last and he was untidy at the last.
Walsh was soon checking behind for dangers though. He eventually came home with five lengths in hand over Zig Zag
Part owners Caren and Aidan Walsh, well-known through their Texacloth business, were on hand to pick up the winning prize.
"He did it well and was entitled to win. He was running in Graded races and they weren't Graded horses that he was running against today," said Walsh.
"He did jump well overall. He was a bit brave at the second last but I wouldn't knock him for that as we were going a fair speed. I'd imagine he will keep going for the summer."
