Blue Uluru saw off Dali in a thrilling conclusion to the 50,000 euro sprint handicap in the Curragh.
She ran freely at the head of affairs upon leaving the stalls and was soon taken on by Brick By Brick
The 5/2 favourite travelled well for Colin Keane passing the two marker, though, and unleashed a strong finish in the final furlong.
Dali (6/1) burst through in the centre and hit the line well but Blue Uluru won it on the nod by a head. Emadee came home three parts of a length further back in third at 13/2.
Trainer Ger Lyons said: "Could it have gone any more wrong and she still won. They don’t have the pace to lead her and I said (to Colin) would you not let her go on but he said no as you see when she gets to the front that she wanders around.
“Pure talent got her home. She’s a nice filly and she’s after winning in spite of everything and it’s the next step on where we want to go. Once the handicapper finishes us off then we’ll concentrate.
“She’s a work in progress and she has to learn to do it our way. She’s very, very fast and I can’t wait to train her as a four-year-old. She could be anything.”
