Crack Tiepy made an impressive Irish debut when running out an easy winner of the Slaney Hurdle at Wexford this afternoon.
The French-import was sent off a 4/9 shot in the two-and-a-half mile contest on her first outing for Willie Mullins.
The Rich Ricci-owned filly settled in behind the leaders before being produced to lead entering the straight by Ruby Walsh.
She didn’t need to come off the bridle to record a two-and-three-quarter length success over Moonshine Lad
The four-year-old had won over fences in her native land and also been placed over hurdles.
"When you are getting seventeen pounds it's a big help, she availed of all the allowances and it is a huge pull,” said Walsh afterwards.
“She had plenty of experience, she has had five or six runs over fences in France, so she had a lot of experience over the others as well.
“I don't know where Willie will go with her now. If she ended up winning half the races Pomme Tiepy won we'd be happy enough."
