Try as she might He Knows My Name couldn't find a way past, as Timewaitsfornoone landed a cross card double for Alan Fleming, in the Boardsmill Sires Maiden Hunters Chase at Downpatrick. Katie Cruel was a well backed winner for the Fleming yard in a maiden at Naas, whilst Timewaitsfornoone was also confidently 'expected,' going off at odds of 4/6.
Mark O'Hare had to ask the Oscar gelding for a lot more up the run-in to keep He Knows My Name at bay by a length.
O'Hare said afterwards: "He wasn't doing a tap in front, he was sort of looking for a bit of company but I wanted to make sure there was a good gallop."
Owner Barry Connell stated: "I'd say he wants a more galloping track. He wants a bit of better ground too. He's going to be a nice three mile chaser in time.
"There's a winners of one in Tramore in about two weeks and that's probably where we will go.
"He only scraped home there but you could see him go round again as he had his ears pricked. He might want a pair of cheek-pieces in time.
"A better race where they go a gallop (would suit), he had to do his own donkey work there."
