Copy That justified good support in the four-year-old maiden hurdle at Tipperary when running out an easy winner.

The JP McManus-owned gelding was a 6/4 shot this morning but went to post 9/10 favourite for the two-mile contest.

Mark Walsh tracked the leaders on the Milan gelding before hitting the front after the third last.

Eddie Harty's charge was in control down the home straight, skipping over the last two flights, to record a four-and-three-quarter length success.

The winner had been a promising fourth on his debut at Sligo last month.

"He was entitled to win on his Sligo run and I look at Racing Post Ratings and on those he was clear of the rest, unless a newcomer was fancied," said Harty.

"It wasn't a strong race, there's no point beating about the bush about it and I'm not sure whether to go on or put him away now until next season - he hasn't filled out fully yet."
