It's hard to keep a good man down as the saying goes, and after some reverses earlier Bryan Cooper bounced back to take race four on the programme at Navan, the Davis Civil Engineering Handicap Hurdle, aboard Nickname Exit

A dual winner here at Navan now, after his win over fences at the track in December, Nickname Exit was sporting blinkers for the first time and he was bringing up a double for Gordon Elliott after his win in the first with Automated

Nickname Exit was never far away and he led three out. Pressed at the next the Gigginstown House Stud-owned son of Nickname kept on well from before the last to defeat Owennacurra Milan Flemenstorm and Tawseef by two and a half lengths and half a length twice.

"The conditions suited him well. It's bottomless ground and he stayed well. We'll try to find something small for him again, and he could run over fences or hurdles," disclosed Elliott.
