Conversant came home best of all to land the Feale Handicap in Listowel by a length and a half.
Joe Sheridan 's mount came through to chase the leader Tribal Path at the furlong pole of this extended six furlong contest.
The blinkered grey gelding swept past that rival inside the final furlong and asserted in the closing stages to win at 6/1 (joint favourite). He was nicely backed from 8/1.
Tribal Path clung on to second at 8/1 by a short head from a staying-on Piper Bomb (12/1).
This was Conversant's first win for Denis Hogan having last tasted victory for David O'Meara at Doncaster in April last year.
