Eleuthera s strong finishing burst in Tipperary enabled him to follow up on his Gowran Park success last month.

The five-year-old got 3lbs for that win but it didn't stop him tonight as he stayed on strongly from fifth a furlong out to get up and score by half a length in Division One of the extended seven furlong handicap. Gold Struck in the first-time hood, came in second at 8/1 with Bo Bridget (9/2f) a neck back in third.

"That was nice and he'll turn into a nice horse," trainer Johnny Levins said.

"He is a like a horse who grew another leg as his confidence is up. He won half a length but did it well and got another good ride from Donogh (O'Connor).

"He is improving - he is still a young horse and is relatively lightly raced. I'll speak with his owner (Roger Browne) and pick a plan for him next."
