Clondinnery impresses in Rochestown
Clondinnery proved too strong for his rivals in the Listed Rochestown Stakes at Cork, making all the running under Keagan Latham.
The Choisor colt asserted in the final furlong to run out a cosy three-length winner over Moment Of Weakness
The colt was described as owner Pat Gilsenan's "pride and joy" and Shane Lyons, representing trainer Ger, said "no money would take him away" from the Monaghan native.
"It was a toss up whether to come here or go for the Coventry at Royal Ascot," revealed Lyons.
"The next step for him will be the Railway Stakes at the Curragh on Derby day. Depending how he gets on there it will tell us where we go with him.
"He's a very professional horse at home and we think he'll be an even better three-year-old."
