The well suported 6/4 favourite Brains routed his rivals when making all in the claimer over 1m.
Seamie Heffernan got the seven-year-old rolling approaching the straight and he was in no danger from over a furlong out.
The Dandy Man gelding, a ten-time winner over a mile on all-weather tracks in Britain, accounted for Pinball Wizard by eight lengths to register a first success for the In Bounds Syndicate and trainer Eric McNamara.
Heffernan said: "He's a high-rated horse and Eric rang me earlier on - I was talking to Conor - and said he had improved a lot since his last run for some reason.
"He just said to keep it simple and let him roll all the way.
"He outclassed everything he ran against, he just outclassed them. He gave me a nice feel, but you would always say that when they go down past the three to the two on the bridle.
"He doesn't give up when things don't go his own way, but the boys were very confident that if I jumped out and steered him on, he would win. They were spot on."
Third home Spirit Of Paradise was the only horse that will be in a different stable this evening having been claimed for 5k by C F Brady to be trained by George Kingston
