The meeting at Cork today has been characterised by some big margins dividing the runners at the line. We had more of it as All The Chimneys (5/1 into 7/2) got the best of the battle with Inishturk Lad in the Bet & Watch Irish And UK Racing Live At Coral.ie Handicap Hurdle.
They pulled twenty three lengths clear of the third home, Shrewd Move and the favourite Coole Craft had to make do with fifth place.
Up front the Eamonn Corbett ridden All The Chimneys toughed it out best by a neck from Inishturk Lad.
Willie Austin has care of All The Chimneys for Tadhg Hogan and the Bach gelding was here shedding his maiden tag at the eighteenth time of asking.
He'd run well to be third to Liclash at Limerick on Friday last.
The Stewards interviewed Mr D.M. Spillane, rider of Inishturk Lad (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion Mr D.M. Spillane was in breach of Regulation 10 3 (f) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency and Regulation 10 4 in that he had used his whip without giving his mount time to respond, and having taken his good record into account, they suspended him for 1 raceday.
