Sweet Home Chicago powered home in the closing stages to run out a commanding winner of the three-mile handicap hurdle at Roscommon.

The Colin Bowe-trained gelding was produced to led over the third last by Sean O'Keeffe and soon had matters in hand.

He was asked for an effort after the second last and soon put daylight between himself and his pursuers.

The 11-year-old galloped on strongly to record a cosy seven-and-a-half length victory over Kilkishen

18/1 shot Sweet Home Chicago was recording his fourth career victory and it was a second winner of the week for Colin Bowe who had also struck with Hello Pilgrim at Limerick on Monday.

Bowe said:- “We knew he was fit and I was surprised he won so easy. He has been a marvellous horse, we'll see what the handicapper does and we'll look for something at Galway."
