The father and son team of Eric and Conor McNamara teamed up to land the Follow Limerick Racecourse On Facebook Handicap Hurdle with course specialist Celtic Dancer
The son of Court Cave was making it three wins from three visits to Greenmount Park over the past two months in this 2m4f event.
Conor McNamara sent the 9/4 favourite to the front after three out, and he asserted approaching the final flight for a convincing success.
Five lengths was the winning margin at the line over Fleurys Fort with Anndarrow a further length back in third.
Eric McNamara said, “He’s been a good little servant and never jumped as well as he did this evening. He’s always been a poor jumper but he jumped super there and it made the difference.
“If he jumps as well as he did this evening he could win again. He definitely seems to jump the Easifix Hurdles better than the traditional hurdles.
“The extra two furlongs made an awful difference to him and he probably would stay further. I’d be more inclined to be going up in distance than back with him.
“He’s not a horse that you can run every week. He won’t run for three or four weeks now, and he could go to Killarney.”
