The Stewards enquired into an incident after the bend past the stands involving Xcape To Victory ridden by James P Sullivan, Dr Zing ridden by C P Hoban, and Tulipa Negra ridden by Gary Carroll, where it appeared that James Sullivan clipped heels and was unseated.

Evidence was heard from the riders concerned and also from Mr Tom Hogan trainer of Dr Zing.

Having viewed the video of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Gary Carroll had ridden carelessly and suspended him for four racedays.
